This section of our website addresses many of the most frequently asked questions that we receive at PIPO Academy of Hair Desing.
- Is PIPO Academy of Hair Design an accredited school?
A. YES! We are accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences (NACCAS). PIPO Academy of Hair Design is approved to operate in El Paso, Texas by the Bureau of Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education (BPPVE) and the Cosmetology Board (BBC). The school is approved by the United States Department of Education (ED) to participate in Title IV Financial Aid programs.
- What are the graduation requirements?
A. To get your Diploma or Certificate, you must complete the Program hours successfully, pass the didactic and practical examinations, and complete the required number of practical procedures.
- Once I finish the program, will I get my license?
A. To get your license, you must pass an examination by the state board and PIPO Academy of Hair Design graduates have a very high passing rate. All throughout the course, we help prepare you for the exam. We’ll even give you a “mock board exam” so you’ll know what’s expected.
- Tell me about the classes. What can I expect?
A. Classes at PIPO Academy of Hair Design are diversified. You’re not going to be stuck in a classroom all day. We have lectures, of course, but we also have live demonstrations, guest speakers, videos and practical application.
- When can I start school at PIPO Academy of Hair Design?
A. PIPO Academy of Hair Design has an open enrollment policy and programs are offered continuously. You may being by contacting us at (915) 565-3491 to set up an appointment.
- When do I begin to work on “real people”?
A. After the first phase of training, you’ll be working on both patrons and mannequins.
- Is there a minimum age to enroll?
A. Yes, you must be at least 17 year of age to begin training.
- Do I need to have a high school diploma?
No, but if you don’t have one, you’ll need a GED certificate or be able to demonstrate the ability to benefit from the training.
- Do you offer financial aid?
A. Yes! PIPO Academy of Hair Design does have financial aid available for those who qualify. Government programs are based on need. The financial assistance programs are very flexible and can be tailored to your individual requirements.
- Will you help me find a job once I get my license?
A. PIPO Academy of Hair Design offers Placement Assistance. While we can’t guarantee you a job, we will help you find your first position and assist you to reach your career goals.
